Meet me soon

Mrs. Elizabeth walked swiftly, passing green, clipped bushes and a pure white marble fountain with a statue of Jesus. She loved to come to this park every Saturday evening, and being a theist, she believed in God very much.
She had plenty of free time because she didn’t have any children. Also, money was not a problem, as she broke the life insurance policy of her husband when he died in a road accident. After being alone for a year, she had grown accustomed to her surroundings, spending every day in her room from morning to evening with no hellos or goodbyes, just that couch, snacks, and her TV.
But that evening was different. After walking half a mile, she started sweating; she cleaned it with her pink flowery scarf; as she blinked her eyes, she could not see a thing; like someone had turned off the lights, she had a blackout; her legs could not withstand her weight; she bumped onto a bench; she felt relaxed; oxygen flowing through her brain made her alive again. Was it the heatstroke or the chaos in the supermarket? She sat on that bench for a long time, thinking. When the sun set, she started shivering as the cold wind touching her face passed in the pure silvery light of the moon. She took out her torch, and, getting late, she started walking hastily, carrying her purse in one hand and her torch in the other.
Walking for the last five minutes, she was in the middle of an ocean of thoughts, regretting her past and planning the future; she could not focus on one thing. She looked up, still moving, but her legs froze; she had no idea where she was; the atmosphere was uneven; her surroundings were unknown. Looking for her phone to call, she realized there was no one she could call and ask for anything. She was an outcast, and she had no choice but to seek help in that strange place; a tiny drop of water traced down her cheeks fell on the ground, and she couldn’t find anyone.
Since the last fifteen minutes, her heavy legs have not permitted her to walk anymore; she has been gasping continuously. Praying to the gods, she sat down on the roadside and started crying while looking up at the dark, cloudy sky, but it ended as soon as she saw a man coming towards her from the farther side of the road. Her face lit up with a sudden smile, her shoulders rose, and the tears stopped. This man cannot be seen precisely yet because he is far away, walking in the pitch dark night.
When this man came nearer to Mrs. Elizabeth, she became a bit confused. She had seen this man before; she had known him for a long time; this was the man with whom she was a good friend, with whom she shared her emotions and her feelings; she had lived with him; she had loved him; this man was her husband.
Mrs. Elizabeth’s face became white, her mouth began to dry, and her body became stiff. There was a clear glimpse of fear in her eyes; she screamed. She was horrified, and thinking of nothing, she began to run as if there were no yesterday and there would be no tomorrow. The passersby, the locals on the road, and the whole crowd heard someone screaming loudly. They watched a woman running, a woman whose age did not match her pace; the same woman who was gasping all this time was now running with her life in her hands.
“The last case was stressful, but our shift is coming to an end,” Arthur explained.
‘Help me! Please, sir, help me! Mrs. Elizabeth cried.
“What happened, madam?” What is the matter? “Why?” asked Benjamin.
“I’ve seen a ghost, my husband’s ghost; he was right there; he will kill me; help me, please!”
They became aware of her panting and milky white face. “What is your name?” said Arthur disgustingly.
‘Elizabeth Cooper’
‘Mrs. Cooper Let us go check out the location where you saw your husband’s ghost. See if anyone is playing any pranks on you; kids nowadays play these kinds of jokes.
“What! “Do not go with her; she does not look mentally stable,” Arthur said while keeping his anger under control.
“Sir, order those wings, and I’ll be there in a few minutes,” Benjamin said with a smile. “All right, Mrs. Cooper, let’s go.”
After riding that Kawasaki for two minutes, they arrived at the place. Although Benjamin felt a strange feeling coming, he started searching the place for that so-called ghost, and Mrs. Elizabeth stood still near the motor. The search continued for five minutes, but there was no one. It was a big relief for Mrs. Elizabeth; saturation came on her face again; this ghost illusion had made the ground slip under her feet, but now it was all fine and good. They sat on the motor and started riding again for Mrs. Elizabeth’s place.
It was a serene, sunny day, and the park was as blooming as it had ever been. “Mama, I want to play near the fountain.”
“Sure, son, but do not get yourself wet.”
“Mama, why is this lady and this man swimming in water?” I want to play in the water too!
